    Our technology team is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Engineer to join our cross-functional software development team and lead the design, deployment, maintenance and optimization of highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant cloud-based environments.  You will work alongside with experienced and motivated professionals and will have a big impact on shaping cutting edge online marketing technology within a fast moving and highly effective agile team.

    Responsibilities

    • Build and own tools for provisioning, automation, configuration, integration, deployment and release processes
    • General Linux server administration including user and group management, system updates, scheduled jobs, permissions, and profiling
    • Implement and manage a full monitoring suite to help maintain product stability
    • Maintain AWS environments using industry best practices
    • Work on cost estimations and reducing IaaS environment costs
    • Evaluation of system stability risk with code and SQL changes proposed by software development teams
    • Assist production support engineers by troubleshooting production applications, running privileged database queries, looking up logs
    • Keep current with applicable security updates and ensure systems are up-to-date
    • Create technical documentation, including runbooks, system and services details and policies

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of experience maintaining LAMP platform infrastructure
    • Strong Linux administration and network troubleshooting skills
    • Experience in AWS administration of services including EC2, Route53, S3, Redshift, VPC, and IAM
    • Experience with monitoring systems including Nagios, Catchpoint, Cacti, and Prometheus
    • Experience with service discovery systems including Consul and Zookeeper a plus
    • Deployment automation experience with Ansible, Capistrano, etc.
    • Knowledge of MySQL database design, replication and administration
    • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
    • Thorough understanding of distributed web applications and related technologies
    • Expertise in operations automation, monitoring and reporting systems
    • Ability to keep up with emerging technologies
    • Working experience with Jenkins a plus
    • Working experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) a plus
    • Configuration management experience with Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Salt
